Joleigh's Christmas Party

Today was Joleigh's last day of preschool until the new year and she had her first ever school Christmas party. Noelle and I came to participate. When we arrived everyone was inside their tiny classroom, because of the rain, and Joleigh and all her classmates were ready for us. After singing some songs and reciting a poem for the parents, Joleigh gave me her gift that she had made for Daddy and me, an adorable calendar, with handmade pages that she had created. It was probably one of the BEST presents I have ever received! After that, Noelle joined Joleigh on the carpet for a Christmas story, while they awaited Santa's arrival. Each child had a turn to sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted. Joleigh was a little shy (big surprise, I know), but she sat on Santa's lap and told him she wanted a train, that is what her friend Jack, who went before her said, silly girl. Then Noelle got her turn and told Santa that she wanted a baby, and I am pretty sure she said a baby sister, is that just not adorable!?!!! When their turn was over, Joleigh got a bag of treats from Santa and a gift wrapped book. When she opened the book, it was from her friend, Audrey and Audrey got the book that Joleigh brought to share. They though that was pretty funny. Next came time to decorate a graham cracker house. Joleigh sat with her friends, Lily and Paige and they all worked on their masterpieces, eating as much candy as they put on the house, oh well it's Christmas. Noelle sat and watched them as she devoured her cookies and candy from Santa. I didn't care as long as she was entertained. We all had such a wonderful time and are thankful for all of the teachers and friends that we have at Happy Apple Preschool and hope they all have a very Merry Christmas!!!
